Photo Permit

Book a photography session in our garden!


We require permits for photo sessions for weddings, engagements, family portraits, graduations, proms, quinceañeras, senior portraits, holiday cards, maternity or baby photos, fashion or product photography, or photos taken for portfolios. This applies even when the photographer is a friend, family member, or other non-professional.


Photo permits are for a one hour time frame only. Book back-to-back hour time slots if you anticipate your shoot to be longer than one hour. The booking slot allows you to shoot in and explore multiple areas of the garden to find your perfect setting(s) across our 2.5 acres. Feel free to come and scout locations in advance. The garden remains open to the public during session.


Rates are $100 per one hour session for up to 8 people, and $200 per one hour session for 9-12 people. If you anticipate that your group will be larger than 12, please email us at info@arlingtongardenpasadena.org for a special link with at least 48 hours notice.


For commercial photography or filming inquiries (both commercial or non-commercial) and media, please reach out to info@arlingtongardenpasadena.org in advance of booking. Rates vary.

Refund Policy

Full refund (minus service fee) if cancelled 24+ hours before the booking. 50% refund if cancelled within 24 hours. Rescheduling is permitted up to 2 hours before your original permit time, and no fee is charged for rescheduling.

Parking Information

Arlington Garden has street parking only. An accessibility-friendly no-step ramp entrance is available at the decorative Arlington Garden gate on Arlington Drive towards on the west end of the garden.

Arlington Garden is a climate-appropriate, habitat garden offering learning, inspiration, and enjoyment for all. This "hidden gem" near downtown Pasadena features different garden rooms celebrating our mediterranean climate with a focus on native plantings in a lush, informal style. These diverse landscapes provide a variety of beautiful options for photographs (something is always in bloom at Arlington!) and small events such as micro-ceremonies, memorials, staff retreats, baby showers, or other formal gatherings. Arlington Garden is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization supported by our community. The majority of our revenue comes from photo permits, event reservations, individual donations, organizational grants, and marmalade sales.
