Moonwater Farm is a paradise project - that neighborhood jewel designed to create access to wellness and land using urban agriculture and art as framing. Conceived by Kathleen Blakistone and Richard Draut, the space offers a welcome refuge in the city. Filled with many outdoor rooms, there are myriad curiosities to uncover - a pond with babbling waterfall, a rabbit warren, an aquaponic system, a food forest, traditional row crops as well as a goat pen filled with critters who share their milk and fiber with us. There are many fruit trees, a long dining table, as well as outdoor sinks for washing hands, food, or dishes. We invite you to come restore yourself through your own discovery of how nature can support your wellness journey. We have much knowledge to share on urban farming and ranching as well as zero waste practices. ...

Farmer Kathleen

Moonwater Farm is cared for by community, a tribe of volunteers with general guidance from master gardeners Kathleen and Richard. The space is adaptable and hosts an intergenerational group of visitors who are generally delighted by the fertility and art surrounding them. We practice ancient methods of growing that amplify the cycles of ecology and regenerative studies. All are welcome on this land. We are deeply committed to anti-oppression work and seek to create space that is welcoming, tolerant, anti-racist, and amplifies the voices of the many lived experiences so often underreported. We encourage more urban agriculture and art in the world!
