Gardenerd

When you walk into Gardenerd's garden, there is so much to see. A biointensive vegetable garden sits in the sunniest spot, surrounded by potted fruit trees, a climbing rose, blackberries, wisteria, trumpet vines and more. You'll find bees coming and going, chickens scratching and pecking in their run, and Mittens the cat surveying it all. Enjoy a seat under the giant Brazilian pepper tree, or sit in the sun at an Italian ceramic table. Lounge among the flowers with a good book, or do a little yoga on the patio under the wisteria. Schedule time to work with us in the garden, learn tricks of the trade, work out in nature, or just relax unattended. Either way you'll find much to explore at Gardenerd....

About the Host
Christy Wilhelmi
Christy Wilhelmi is the owner of Gardenerd, the ultimate resource for garden nerds. She is author of several books, including Grow Your Own Mini Fruit Garden, High Yield Small Space Organic Gardening, and the novels Garden Variety (March, 2022 William Morrow) and Bolting to Seed (June, 2026). She teaches gardening classes, does one-on-one consulting, coaching, and vegetable garden design. She grows a lot of her family's food at Gardenerd HQ and loves to grow heirloom veggies in small spaces. While Gardenerd HQ has a lot of space, Christy grows veggies using biointensive methods to get the most out of the sunny spots, and uses the front yard as a Mini Fruit Garden to keep the garden manageable and productive. She also helps run the local Time Bank, and participates in monthly produce exchanges.
